Hi friends, thanks so much for visiting my blog. This blog is a place for me to write all about the new adventures I’m about to embark on. I recently graduated from UCF; I graduated a year earlier than expected (for those of you who say UCF stands for ‘U Can’t Finish,’ you’re wrong.) This next chapter in my life is dedicated to an experience like none other. I will be traveling to Israel, indefinitely, to ‘wander.’
What do I mean by wander, you may ask. This is where the quote “not all those who wander are lost” applies. Simple, my soul yearns for exploration. Of course, I’ve visited the beautiful country before but for no more than a six-week period. Going to Israel will give me the chance to meet new people, immerse in a culture I’m not well acquainted with and gain weight by eating a ton of Israeli delicacies. I also plan on traveling Europe during my trek!
I’ve learned that not everything is as it seems. During college, I came to realize I was living for the destination and not the journey. I want to reverse that. College taught me many valuable lessons and it was really the best and worst three years of my life. I accomplished more than I ever imagined, I met some of my best friends and I made unforgettable memories. I also made questionable decisions, I acted in ways that were uncharacteristic and I hurt those whom I love the most. This is a fresh start and I’m looking forward to fully taking advantage of it.
The experiences I encountered helped mold me into the person I am today, but I am still a work in progress. I know I will never be perfect, but I hope to be given more obstacles that will help better myself every day. It’s not just overcoming a hurdle, but conquering the impossible.
This trip to Israel will be challenging, to say the least, but it’s something I need to do. I need to step out of my comfort zone and learn to adapt in a completely different country. I am beyond excited to open this new chapter in my life and I want to share it with you. Follow my blog if you care to know about this thrilling time of my life.
Cheers to pushing ourselves to the limit and learning from our failures.
P.S.- This blog is very personal and I will be sharing raw emotions. The best is yet to come, but I can only imagine there will be a couple bumps in the road. The biggest and baddest life tests are on their way and I want to blog about them. This is a judgment-free zone and if you’re not in agreement to what I have to say, please do not make offensive remarks. But for now, enjoy the posts, pictures and occasional vlogs 🙂
